The Community Ambassador is responsible for leasing activities and implementing the vision of the Kaufman Development brand by creating an engaging resident experience that is focused on improving residents’ lives and their communities. They will achieve this through a focus on programming and interaction with residents, prospects, partnering with local businesses and organizations; specifically in the areas of Wellness, Sustainability, Philanthropy and Innovation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Represent and promote the Core Values of Kaufman Development.
  • Create an engaging, authentic and genuine experience for Prospects and current Residents.
  • Execute sales proven process accurately and appropriately; including telephone, email, lead follow-up and marketing communication.
  • Effectively drive traffic to site through leasing and marketing campaigns.
  • Responsible for achieving leasing and occupancy goals.
  • Knowledge of current rental market, rates, sizes, locations, property policies and community amenities.
  • Knowledge of application requirements, lease terms, screening processes and policies, and fair housing regulations.
  • Accurate completion of application/lease form, collection of rental deposit, and maintenance of Resident and property files.
  • Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms, reports, and related information.
  • Responsible for assisting in the collection of delinquent rent.
  • Courteous, sympathetic, and efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.
  • Develop and implement Resident Programming under the direction of the Community Curator.
  • Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth/development.
  • Responsible for maintaining appearance of leasing office, community spaces and model units.
  • Other functions, projects and tasks as designated by the Community Curator.

Kaufman Development is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its fast-growing team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for facilities and maintenance of their assigned community. They will be performing a variety of tasks including: audits, electrical, light carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing. Maintenance Technicians diagnose problems, determine whether to replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments until the problem is resolved. They will achieve this through a focus on completing work in a timely, effective, and efficient manner, with quality craftsmanship, while managing positive relationships with residential tenants.

● Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shop.
● Enforce all rules and regulations for the community.
● Self-starter capabilities to manage and prioritize multiple different projects concurrently.

Qualifications
● High School Degree required
● 1-3 years experience in apartment maintenance preferred.

They will be performing a variety of tasks including grounds maintenance, common area improvements (i.e. painting and carpet cleaning), preventive maintenance, light landscaping, etc. Grounds Technicians maintain a high level of property appearance for the residential, commercial, and existing and prospective tenant experience. They will achieve this through a focus on routined monitoring of the sites, detail-oriented inspection and care, and a positive attitude towards providing an exceptional experience for all Kaufman guests and tenants.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Inspect properties to keep free of trash and litter, clean, safe, and presentable.

  • Perform basic landscaping duties like weed wacking, bush trimming, power washing, weeding, etc.
  • Monitor common spaces throughout the community for cleanliness and maintenance needs, like repair cleaning and painting.
  • Available in inclement weather for snow removal including salting, plowing and shoveling walkways.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated flexibility, superior problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude are musts.
  • Experience managing employee performance, training, and working with vendors or subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working within a budget, submitting PO’s for purchase approvals, and using online maintenance systems such as Entrata, Yardi, etc.
