The Community Curator is responsible for all daily operations, leasing activities, and implementing the vision of the Kaufman and Green|House brands by creating an engaging resident experience that is focused on improving residents’ lives and their communities. They will achieve this through a focus on programming and interaction with residents and prospects, partnering with local businesses and organizations; specifically in the areas of Wellbeing, Nature, and Transformation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Represent and promote the Core Values of Kaufman
  • Create an engaging, authentic, and genuine experience for Prospects and current Residents.
  • Lead, manage, direct and develop leasing and maintenance staff.
  • Provide an exceptional experience, including managing resident retention, monitoring timeliness and quality of work orders, and ensuring aesthetic standards are maintained for all aspects of the community.
  • Ensure the community meets all monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational targets, including achieving NOI goals through revenue and expense management.
  • Knowledge of the rental market and ability to create leasing strategies and campaigns specific to market.
  • Oversee and participate in all leasing and marketing activities, including executing the Kaufman sales process accurately and appropriately.
  • Responsible for setting and ensuring the team is achieving leasing and occupancy goals.
  • Ensure the community is compliant with all company policies and procedures, as well as any applicable regulations.
  • Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms, reports, and related information.
  • Responsible for collection of delinquent rent, eviction filings, and ensure all tenant-landlord laws are being followed.
  • Courteous, sympathetic, and efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.
  • Develop and implement Resident Programming.
  • Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth/development.
  • Other functions, projects and tasks as designated by the Regional Manager.

  • Knowledge of current rental market, rates, sizes, locations, property policies and community amenities.
  • Knowledge of application requirements, lease terms, screening processes and policies, and fair housing regulations.
  • Accurate completion of application/lease form, collection of rental deposit, and maintenance of Resident and property files.
  • Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms, reports, and related information.
  • Responsible for assisting in the collection of delinquent rent

Kaufman Development is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its fast-growing team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for facilities and maintenance of their assigned community. They will be performing a variety of tasks including: audits, electrical, light carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing. Maintenance Technicians diagnose problems, determine whether to replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments until the problem is resolved. They will achieve this through a focus on completing work in a timely, effective, and efficient manner, with quality craftsmanship, while managing positive relationships with residential tenants.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Represent and promote the Core Values of Kaufman Development.
  • Maintain the Community’s appearance to Kaufman Development’s standards
  • Model a high-quality standard for performance and craftsmanship.
  • Conscientious about developing and maintaining vendor and tenant relationships.
  • Complete monthly and annual preventative maintenance plans.
  • Complete all resident requests within 24hrs
  • Responsible for responding quickly to afterhours on call emergencies and summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Audit and monitor the community, vendors’ work, security systems, lighting, fire extinguishers, elevators, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shop.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations for the community.
  • Self-starter capabilities to manage and prioritize multiple different projects concurrently.
  • Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth/development.
  • Other functions, projects and tasks as designated by the Maintenance Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Degree required
  • 1-3 years experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
  • HVAC Certification preferred.
  • Physical requirement of stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, superior problem-solving skills, and positive attitude are musts.
